Enable Windows Vista Administrator Login PDF Print E-mail

vista_admin_account.jpgDid you miss the administrator login your old Windows XP had? Well we did as well since we had the "Needs your permission to continue" known as UAC notifications appeared all the time as we run our Windows Vista and that drove us nuts. Even though there are ways bypassing or disabling those notifications we thought it ll be a good idea to login as administrators into our Vista because many times we need admin privileges to run some applications and this would make our life easier. We are happy to share this hack, follow the steps below and login as administrators:

- Open a command prompt and run it as administrator(right click and select this)

- type net user administrator /active:yes

You re done! Just logout and see the administrator login box, login and bye bye stupidĀ "Needs your permission to continue" notifications.

If you want to undo the administrator account being visible on the login screen just do the same things only type /active:no instead /active:yes
